We are so excited to bring back one of our very first products, Ultrasound of the Week.  UoTW was developed initially by Dr. Ben Smith, one of our cofounders.  We've been thinking about how to best present these cases in the most easily digestable manner, and we believe that sending out weekly emails with the cases is probably the best way :)

UOTW #1 - 41 y/o with Abdominal Pain

This is a 41-year-old male who presents after a major motor vehicle collision. He complains of abdominal pain and feels like he needs to urinate but is unable to do so. Patient has a BP of 142/91, a HR of 102 bpm, and otherwise normal vitals.  A FAST exam is performed and the following clips are obtained of the right upper quadrant and the pelvic windows.  Which of the following is the most likely cause of the patients ultrasound findings?

1. Splenic rupture
2. Ruptured hemidiaphragm
3. Hepatic rupture
4. Bladder rupture
