Core Ultrasound and VCA Sound-Eklin Drop Lawsuit

(Grand Rapids, Mich)March 18, 2010 – A lawsuit between Core Ultrasound and VCA has been dropped by both parties, allowing Core Ultrasound to continue focusing its efforts on serving the needs of the veterinary care community.

In January 2010, a federal judge ruled the lawsuit which alleged Core Ultrasound violated a non-compete clause was without merit.  As an alternative to filing a countersuit for damages, both Core Ultrasound and VCA agreed to drop all litigation. “The lawsuit was without merit from the beginning,” said Laufersky.  “We are relieved the issue has been resolved, and we’re thrilled to be focusing all our attention on what we do best – providing superb quality ultrasound, and go the extra mile customer service to the veterinary care market. “
