Core Ultrasound courses are either RACE certified or in the certification process with Continuing Education credit on weekend classes (please see each course’s description for details). The courses cover all areas of training from beginner to advanced scanner. Telemedicine integration is featured in every course to allow for education to continue far after the course has been completed.

Abdominal Course

Offers hands on scanning and knobology training with emphasis on live scanning and case review. Courses are taught with 50% lecture and 50% live animal scanning. Normal organ architecture and the landmarks needed for easy detection are covered.

Cardiology Course

Offers hands on scanning and knobology training with emphasis on performing a basic cardiac scan. Cardiac measurements, M-Mode use, Right and Left side views are emphasized. Case review features normal and abnormal scanning. Courses are taught with 50% lecture and 50% live animal scanning.

Advanced Abdominal – Scan Only

Offered for the intermediate scanner with didactic knowledge. A one hour lecture is followed by a full day scanning lab. Lab participants will scan minute organs and image with Color Flow and Power Doppler. Lab attendance is reduced to enhance participants scan time.

Advanced Cardiology – Scan Only

Offered for the intermediate scanner with prior cardiac imaging knowledge. A one hour lecture is followed by a full day scanning lab. Lab participants will scan right and lefts view and be exposed to Color, Pulsed and Continuous Wave Doppler. Lab attendance is reduced to enhance participants scan time.
